The Bishop Moore baseball team has finally won their own tournament. The tournament, started in 2004, was the 11th in 15 years. Bishop Moore defeated Bishop Verot 8-2 after a week of pool play with Catholic school from around Florida, and teams from Maryland, Ohio, and Illinois. The Hornets went 4-0 with wins over Tampa Catholic 8-4, Holy Name, Cleveland 4-2, Marion Catholic, Chicago 6-2 to go along with the championship win.

The Hornets lone loss in 2007, when they won the stat championship was to Cardinal Gibbons in the championship game. They also lost a championship game to Monsignor Pace and Gio Gonzalez, currently with the Washington Nationals, in 2004.
