Fernan A., Emily O., and Daniel W. represented the Hornets at the state meet this past Saturday — Emily and Daniel performed well in the prelims as did Fernan, who broke his own school record in the 100 fly with a time of 53.80.

Girls Volleyball to Play for State Championship

The Bishop Moore Girls Volleyball team played in Tampa at Robinson High School in the state semifinal game for class 5A. Girls Volleyball-Regional Champions

Bishop Moore won the regional final over Pompano Beach, 25-13, 25-11, 25-11. Claire M. had 10 kills and 1 assist. Sami K. tallied 19 digs and 3 aces. The lady Hornets advance to 5A state final four.

Swimmers Advance to State Meet

The Hornet swim teams participated in the regional meet Friday at the I-Drive Aquatics Center — girls finished 5th and the boys 11th. Emily O. (500 free), Fernan A. (100 fly), and Daniel W. (100 breast) will advacne to the state meet on Saturday at the Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Athletic Center in Stuart, Florida.

Boys Golf Finish 5th in the State

The Bishop Moore Hornets got off to a rough start on Day 1 posting a team score of 339; good enough for 9th position out of a field of 16 team finalists. But the resilient Hornets bounced back strong on Day 2 with a score of 307, the 3rd best team score of the day.

Boys and Girls Cross Country Advance to State Meet

The boys and the girls cross country teams placed 5th in the region meet in Ocala. Both team advance to the state meet next weekend in Tallahassee.
