The Bishop Moore Girls’ volleyball team kept on its winning path with a 3-1 road win over Southwest Acres Archbishop McCarthy (21-7) in a Class 6A region final. Marlie M. had 26 kills, 19 digs and 11 assists to pace the Hornets (22-7) to a 25-17, 25-27, 26-24, 25-15 over the Mavericks (21-7). Claire M. added 13 kills

Girls Volleyball Defeats Merritt Island to Advance to Region Final

The Bishop Moore Girls Volleyball team advanced in Regional competition Wednesday night. Marlie M. had 25 kills, 19 digs and 9 assists for Bishop Moore (21-7) in a 25-21, 25-18, 20-25, 26-24 win. Arianna A. added 36 digs. The Hornets will play the region final Tuesday away at Archbishop McCarthy 7:00.

The Bishop Moore Girls’ Volleyball team won its regional quarterfinal match against Satellite High School 3-0. Scores of the match were 25-13, 25-14, 25-17. The Bishop Moore Girls’ Volleyball team knocked off Tavares High School in rapid fashion 3-0 to win the district championship. Scores of the game were 25-11, 25-11, 25-11. The team will play the regional quarterfinals next Wednesday at home at 7:00.
