Hornets Girls’ Basketball Advance in Regional Playoffs

The Bishop Moore Girls Varsity basketball team won its regional quarterfinal game against Melbourne Palm Bay Thursday night 63-25.  The Hornets relied on an aggressive stingy defense and solid outside shooting to jump out early on the Pirates who were never able to find their rhythm on either end of the floor. Girls’ Basketball Wins District Championship

The Bishop Moore girls varsity basketball team defeated the host Tavares Bulldogs 69 – 44 to win the district championship Friday night.  The Hornets led by three at the end of the first half but a stout defense held the Bulldogs to 9 third-quarter points followed by 7 in the fourth enabling Bishop Moore to pull away

Lady Hornets Basketball Bounces Back on the Road

Daytona Beach FL – The Bishop Moore Hornets Girls Basketball teams went on the road to finish to finish off their regular season with wins at Father Lopez.  The JV set the tone for the night with a 65 – 25 victory and the Varsity was able to shake off an early week road loss

Lady Hornets Basketball Teams Split at Lake Highland

The Bishop Moore Girls Basketball teams split a pair of games with Lake Highland Prep, with the JV winning 48-5 and the Varsity falling 68-59. The JV boosted their record to 15-0 behind hot shooting from Freshman Taylor T. and Amanda K., as well as solid inside play from sophomores Kiran S. and Maria A. 

Hornets Girls’ Basketball Wins at Poinciana

The Bishop Moore girl’s basketball team improved their record to 16 and 2 with a district road win at Poinciana Thursday night.  The Hornets again relied on stingy defense and hot shooting to ground the Eagles and remain unbeaten in district play. Senior Reilly B. led all scorers with 28 connecting on 5  three-pointers on the night. 

Lady Hornets Basketball Team Defeats Leesburg

  The Bishop Moore Women’s Varsity Basketball team preserved their perfect record in district play, defeating the Leesburg Yellow Jackets 49 – 20 Tuesday night. The Hornets relied on a balanced attack offensively with no players reaching double figures but all players scoring in the Home matchup.  Freshman Zeli R. and Senior Reilly B. were both perfect

Hornets Girls’ Basketball Team Wins on the Road

The Bishop Moore girls basketball team improved their record to 16 and 2 with a 71 – 52 victory over the Olympia Titans.  The Hornets took advantage of strong outside shooting and a smothering pressure defense dismantling the home standing Titans. Girls’ Basketball Blasts Eustis

The Lady Hornets basketball team defeated district foe Eustis 63-21 to push their record to 11-1 and record their first win of the New Year.  Sophomore Emma L. led all scorers with 17 including 5 three-pointers.  Freshman Zeli R. added 15 for the Hornets.  The Hornets JV team remained unbeaten with a win over Eustis
