Hornet Swimmers Finish Strong at the Lake Brantley Meet

Fifteen swimmers from the Bishop Moore swim team competed in the highly competitive Lake Brantley Invitational Meet on Saturday.  After strong swims in the preliminaries, Tessa O. and Daniel W. returned for the evening finals in individual events. Boys’ & Girls’ Swimming Both Victorious

The BMCHS girls’ (2-4) and boys’ (3-3) swim teams defeated Master’s Academy last night in the pool. The boys’ final score was 120-46 and the girls’ final score was 126-32. Both teams will be swimming at the Patriot Invitational at Lake Brantley HS this Saturday, and the Catholic Invitational on October 1.There will be two more dual meets

Swimmers at State Meet

Fernan A., Emily O., and Daniel W. represented the Hornets at the state meet this past Saturday — Emily and Daniel performed well in the prelims as did Fernan, who broke his own school record in the 100 fly with a time of 53.80.

Swimmers Advance to State Meet

The Hornet swim teams participated in the regional meet Friday at the I-Drive Aquatics Center — girls finished 5th and the boys 11th. Emily O. (500 free), Fernan A. (100 fly), and Daniel W. (100 breast) will advacne to the state meet on Saturday at the Sailfish Splashpark Aquatic Athletic Center in Stuart, Florida.

The girls finished 4th and the boys 5th in the district swim championships at Indian River State College. Bishop Moore Hosts Catholic Invitational Swim Meet

Bishop Moore hosted the Catholic Invitational at the Lake highland Pool. Catholic schools from around the state came to town for the 25th annual swim meet. The boys finished 4th and the girls took 3rd place.

Boys/Girls Swimming Defeats Apopka

The boys and girls swim teams defeated Apopka at the College Park Pool. The girls won 106-64 and were led by Erin T. with a time 2:19.83 in the 200 free while the obys won 114-56 and wer led by Ben V. with a 1:13.14 in the 100 breast stroke.

Girls and Boys Swim Defeat Edgewater

The boys and the girls swim teams defeated Edgewater in their dual swim meet. The boys were led by Fernan A. with a 1:59.12 in the 200 free and 57.15 in the 100 fly. The girls were led by Kate N. with 50 free time of 27:65
